Trip to the Danube Delta
Annual conference 2016

3 day/ 2 night trip  to the Danube Delta

DAY 1                                             CONSTANTA – TULCEA

An early morning transfer from Constanta will take you to Tulcea (2 hours driving time) to catch the express boat to Crisan. The sailing time is 1 hour. There you will check into
“2 CAPTAINS” pension, 4*, Then it’s time to relax and enjoy the beautiful Danube Delta early summer afternoon, followed by dinner at the pension.

DAY 2                                                   CRISAN

After an early breakfast we board the small boats that will take us on a 2-3 hour trip on the lakes and canals of the Danube Delta, deep inside the heart of the wetlands. Here you will be welcomed by hundreds of bird species which are starting to return for their summer in the Delta. Bring your cameras with you. Lunch and dinner at the pension.

DAY 3                                                   CRISAN – TULCEA - CONSTANTA

After breakfast, take the express boat back to Tulcea and then the car to Constanta.

Optionally, extend your stay one more day in Crisan, take the boat to Sulina, the place where the Danube Delta flows into the Black Sea. Sulina is a very interesting old city, unique in Europe and the world. Visit the Lighthouse, walk along the beautiful sand beach or in the old cemetery reading the centuries old tombstones. Return to Crisan in time for dinner.

Accommodation in Crisan in “2 Captains” is done in apartments that can house 2-3 guests.
